What a wonderful video. I never knew that my Evan’s Shipbuilding Ancestor built the Shipwrights Arms!

As just another ‘blown away’ Salcombe native, may I congratulate everyone involved in producing this quite wonderful video. You gave great joy to me seeing several of the faces so familiar to me in my youth (left Salcombe 1952), Harry Cook, Eddie Distin, Wilfred & Aaron Dornom – did I glimpse Sidney ? – and Edgar himself, what a team !! Only one argument, Salcombe’s finest oarsman by far was Richard Cove, after whom the Cup was finally named. He broke the heart of many a challenger on the way, agin the tide, down to the Blackstone buoy , letting them catch him then pulling away .
Is it possible to buy a copy of the video ?
    Many thanks,
    David Field
