Brigadier General Turville & Madeleine Foster lived at Moult Salcombe
Captain Douglas Cameron Foster of the Cameronians (the Scottish Rifles). The only son of late Brigadier-General Turville Douglas Foster and his wife, Madeleine Foster, of The Moult, Salcombe. Born in Aldershot in 1891. Received his commission in September, 1911 and promoted to Captain in October, 1915. Killed in action at the Battle of Arras on 14 April 1917 aged 26. Buried at Heninel-Croisilles Road Cemetery, Heninelm, Departement du Pas-de-Calais Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France Plot: II. A. 17.
