    • 329222 Gunner Arthur James Canham of 192 Siege Battery, the Royal Garrison Artillery. Son of Frances E. Canham and the late James of 5 Harvey's Row, Salcombe. Born in Salcombe in the June Quarter of 1896. In the 1911 census he was 14, a boatbuilder, living with his parents at 47, Baker?s Well, Salcombe. His father was a boatman. He was killed in action 16 August 1917 aged 21. France and Flanders theatre. Burial: Canada Farm Cemetery, Leper (Ypres) West Vlaanderen,Belgium
