  1939 Census: Gerald and Clarice were living at "Royville" Coronation Rd. Salcombe with their sons Bernard and Desmond. During the war Gerald was away so Clarice and the boys moved to "Garston" Coronation Rd. with Clarice's parents Charles and Emily Harnden .
