  • Notes
    • From Chris Morris (descendent):
The 1911 census online index shows Cyril Lacy Raymont
CAMP (age 4, born 1906/7) living with John and Bertha Ann CAMP in Salcombe. His birth was registered as Cyril Lacey
R CAMP in the Jul-Sep quarter 1906 at Kingsbridge (5b/169). His death was registered in the Oct-Dec
quarter 1982 at Newton Abbot (21/1654) age 76, date of birth 22 Jul 1906. The National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills
      & Administrations) shows:

CAMP, Cyril Lacey Raymont of 20
Brooklands Bridgetown Totnes Devon died 29 October 1982 Probate Bristol 10
      November Not exceeding £25000 820906027J

      Devon telephone directories (1973, 1976, 1978, 1980)
revealed a C L R CAMP living at 20 Brooklands, Bridgetown, Totnes. He was not in the 1983 edition; instead, at
the same address, was C W R CAMP. This
led to the discovery of the birth registration of Cyril W R CAMP in the Jul-Sep
quarter 1938 at Totnes (5b/227) ? mother?s name DART. The marriage of Cyril L R CAMP to Alice L
DART was registered in the Apr-Jun quarter 1935 at Totnes (5b/502 or 503).

      In the 1939 ?mini census?, Cyril L CAMP (b 22 Jul 1906,
Heavy Tractor Driver (Engine Timber) Heavy Worker, married) and ALICE L CAMP (b
9 Aug 1907, Unpaid Domestic Duties) were living at 20 Brooklands, in the Totnes
      MB.
