  Notes	Richard Heath Sladen was a ship owner and lived at 4 Courtenay Terrace Salcombe. taken from Sail and Steam in Salcombe Harbour. The following ships were owned by Sladen & Co and RH Sladen. "Avon" Built by Evans of Salcombe. Launched June 1863 registered at Salcombe to Sladen & Co. Between 1875-1877 she was registered at Dartmouth, owned by R H Sladen. She was sold early 1880's. "Annie" Built by Bonker for R H Sladen & Co. Wrecked on Salcombe bar 16 Jan 1879. The Lifeboat "Rescue" brought her Captain E Patey and Mate ashore. "Phantom" Built by Joseph Evans of Salcombe. Launched 14 Dec for W Sladen & Co. R H Sladen sold her on 8th Sept 1888.
