    • From Chris Morris (descendent):
      John CAMP (my great grandfather) was born in Stoke Canon
      (confirmed by later census returns) and was baptised there on 27 Jul 1856. The death date that you show corresponds with
      that on his gravestone, although the date on his death certificate was 23 Mar
      1914. However, that certificate,
      obtained by me in the 1970s, might have been one of those transcribed at that
      time by a GRO employee who mis-read the original. In the circumstances, I would recommend
      leaving your current (gravestone) date on your website.
