    • Henry was a Shipbuilder, he built The Golden Fleece, Morning Star and Zenobia With Harnden and Whiddon.
      The Golden Fleece was the Ship his younger Brother Marcus was the Master of and Marcus' second son Charles Colin was born on and sadly the ship that Marcus died on of Yellow fever.

    • In the 1881 census Henry was a Ship builder employing 8 men and 3 boys. Living at The Island,(which was probably Island Street)as all the others on the same census page are listed as living at The Island also.
      1891 Henry was living at 27 Island Street.
      In the 1901 and 1911 census' Henry was living at 26 Island Street and had retired from Ship building.
      Henry was Chairman of the Salcombe Urban District Council from 1900 to 1902. He appears on the list of chairmen on a board now kept in the library at Cliff House ( Adrian Vivian)
    • Henry built Seventeen vessels between 1865 and 1887.
