  • —2010: The Town Twinning association with Cabourg was wound up.
1808 
  • 1808: Weslyan Church
    The first Weslyan Methodist services were held in "No. 3 Buckley" Now Buckley Street.
1821 
  • 1821: Post Office
    Post Office established in Salcombe. Sally Stone was appointed Postmistress on an annual salary of £5. Situated in Buckley Street.
1827 
  • 1827: Cooks Boatstore
    What became Cook's boatstore was built on Customs quay. It was built for Thomas Partridge, sailmaker and then became Reeves timber store. The quay was originaly known as Trinick's or Steamer Quay.
1838 
  • 1838: Hannafords Butchers, 10 Fore Street, Established.
