A wreath commemorating the participation of ‘The Salcombe Boys’ in the First World War was laid at The Cenotaph in London on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the end of the Great War, November 11th 2018. Louise Murch attended the wreath laying and walk past which followed.

Thanks to the generosity of Roger Barrett of Salcombe Maritime Museum, there are now five books available to download from the website. These titles describe Salcombe as a schooner port, explain the U-boat War off the South Devon coast from 1915 to 1918, recount life in Salcombe during the two world wars and finally narrate the tragic events which led to the loss of the Salcombe lifeboat in 1916.
